Each year hundreds of events are sponsored by the Office of the Dean of Students or held in its facilities: Anabel Taylor Hall, Carol Tatkon Center, Sage Chapel, and Willard Straight Hall. These gracious and historic buildings comprise the architectural heart of Cornell University and form a memorable backdrop for any kind of special event.
To preserve the beauty and historic nature of these buildings and to ensure the safety of all participants, we have a set of requirements governing their registration procedures and appropriate use during your event. These policies and procedures must be followed to ensure that the event is safe and in compliance with University policy.
Certain times of year, Cornell has additional requirements or limitations, and you will need to check with the sponsoring office. Examples of University-wide events include the following: Slope Day, Homecoming, Orientation, Senior Week, and Commencement.
