The Straight

The WSH-Student Union Board (SUB) is an organization of Cornell University students. Its purpose is to foster the spirit of Willard Straight Hall, bring life to the student union and enrich the Cornell community through the programming of events and setting policy for WSH.

The SUB mission is:

• To emphasize Willard Straight Hall’s historical responsibility as Cornell University’s only Student Union for cultural and social enrichment. 
• To oversee policy within Willard Straight Hall, to best serve the union’s mission, to better serve the Cornell student body, and to encourage safe and available use the building.
• To encourage the use of Willard Straight Hall by providing financial incentive to student groups to bolster the use of the building as a prime hub of culture and entertainment.

The Student Union Board meets each Wednesday at 5PM in the 5th Floor Lounge, WSH.

Everyone is invited to apply for an open seat on the Executive Board of Directors or just attend a board meeting as interest and opportunity allows. Persons desiring voting membership in the SUB become members after just 3-recorded meetings.
