Alumnae Panhellenic Advisory Council

Mission

The Alumnae Panhellenic Advisory Council (APAC) is a group of alumnae women each specializing in a specific area of interest for the benefit and consultation of alumnae advisors for the sororities on the Cornell University campus.

Objectives
  • To keep sorority alumnae advisors at Cornell University aware of current trends,
  • To promote and be an advocate for the sorority system at Cornell University,
  • To improve the sorority image on the Cornell University campus. 
  • To stimulate a continuing interest in Panhellenic affairs,
  • Advocate for the Cornell University fraternity and sorority system.

Composition

President: 

  • Serve on the Cornell University Fraternity and Sorority Advisory Council 
  • Chair all meetings of the Alumnae Panhellenic Advisory Council holding a minimum of two planning meeting each academic year for all the officers of the Council 
  • Attend the annual meeting of the Northeast Panhellenic Association.

VP Alumnae Recruitment & Volunteer Development:

  • Keep informed on NPC Recruitment Changes and changes in recruitment trends and directions.
  • Serve as a contact for sorority advisors and consult on Recruitment issues and calendar.
  • Assist chapters secure alumnae volunteers for Recruitment.

VP Finance & House Corporations: 

  • Assist chapters with questions pertaining to finance and house corporations.
  • Work with OFSA Assistant Dean for Financial and Facility Management.

VP Communications & Special Events:

  • Provide and disseminate information alumni events on campus that involve Greek Alumnae.
  • Web site maintenance thru OFSA.
  • Maintain an alumnae Greek database.

VP Alumnae Recruitment & Volunteer Development:

  • Assist in the outreach, connection, and placement of alumnae volunteers. 
  • Establish/maintain relationship with Chapter Advisors. 
  • Assess and evaluate needs of each chapter with respect to alumnae involvement.

VP Fundraising:

  • Assist sorority advisors on developing fund raising strategies and priorities.
  • Assist chapter volunteers and university development staff in prospect identification.
  • Help link chapters with fundraising opportunities through their National and the university.
