In partnership with the Plantations Natural Areas Program and Chi Phi Fraternity, ten staff from Cornell Outdoor Education rappelled down and cleaned accumulated trash and refuse from a portion of the Cascadilla Gorge slopes this past Saturday.

In June 2007, President Skorton signed the American College and University Presidents Climate Commitment, officially making sustainability one of the university’s top priorities. By signing the commitment, Cornell pledged to reduce the global emission of greenhouse gases on campus over time.

We heard about dozens of you - green greeks from all corners. Our judges were impressed and inspired to see so many Delta Gamma collegians and alumnae, each doing her part to save the planet. But one stood out from the anti-plastic pack. We’ll go out on a limb (how about bamboo?) to say Tamar Sharabi, Chi-Cornell, is our greenest greek.

Phired Up Productions Educates About Values-based Recruitment
