Bklyn Boi Hood
A site for an art and community based organization that encourages LGBTQ-identified boys and men of color to explore and appreciate expressions of healthy masculinity and intersectionality. 

International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, and Intersex Association
A directory for LGBTQ/ally organizations across the world and information about what certain organizations are doing to campaign for equal rights of LGBTQ people (and how to get involved.)

Trans People of Color Coalition 
The main site for an organization that seeks to empower the trans* community through connecting activists, advocates, and members of the community to create a movement of support and resources for transpeople of color; there are links to information about advocacy work and trans* resources included.

Black Trans Men
A site that aims to acknowledge, support, and provide equal protection to black transgender men (and all members of the LGBTQ community) as well as provide resources to help in achieving a healthy female to male transition.

Center for Gender Sanity, Diagram of Sex and Gender
An organization that assists transmen and transwomen with their transitions in their places of work, and also works with employers and HR professionals to achieve acceptance and understanding of trans identities and issues.

National Center for Transgender Equality
The National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) is a 501(c)3 social justice organization dedicated to advancing the equality of transgender people through advocacy, collaboration and empowerment.

Lambda Legal
Founded in 1973, Lambda Legal is the oldest and largest national legal organization whose mission is to achieve full recognition of the civil rights of lesbians, gay men, bisexuals, transgender people and those with HIV through impact litigation, education and public policy work.

Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund
Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund is committed to ending discrimination based upon gender identity and expression and to achieving equality for transgender people through public education, test-case litigation, direct legal services, community organizing and public policy efforts.

The World Professional Association for Transgender Health 
The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), formerly known as the Harry Benjamin International Gender Dysphoria Association, Inc. (HBIGDA), is a professional organization devoted to the understanding and treatment of gender identity disorders.

National LGBTQ Taskforce

Transgender Law Center 
Focused on transgender legal issues in the State of California. However, it does have a wealth of information that pertains to the country as a whole.

Transgender Law and Policy Institute
A non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society. The TLPI brings experts and advocates together to work on law and policy initiatives designed to advance transgender equality.

Transgender American Veterans Association
The Transgender American Veterans Association (TAVA) was formed to address the growing concerns of fair and equal treatment of transgendered veterans and active duty service members.

Sylvia Rivera Law Project
New York based outfit. SRLP works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.

Gannett Health Services – Trans* Care

Out for Health
Planned Parenthood's LGBT Health & Wellness Project, Out for Health, provides outreach, education and information to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) people, their health care providers and the community at-large about the importance of inclusive, welcoming and respectful care for LGBT people.

Transgender Support Group 
Cornell's LGBT Center, Ithaca College's LGBT Center, and Out for Health jointly support a transgender support group for people in the Ithaca area.  You can find more information at the link below or by contacting Cornell's LGBT Center at

Tompkins County Human Rights Commission 
Offers telephone or in-office consultation regarding questions of rights, disputes, alleged violation of anti-discrimination laws which provide protection in the areas of employment, housing, credit, public accommodation, and public, non-sectarian educational institutions.

A consulting service for transsexuals who plan to transition on the job, their coworkers, and their employers. We offer help in planning a successful transition, guidance for employers dealing with transition issues, and diversity training about transsexualism.
