Empathy, Assistance & Referral Service (EARS) offers hands-on training each semester for any member of the Cornell community who wants to become a better listener, enhance personal life skills, gain greater compassion, tolerance and appreciation of one's self and others, and build good leadership practices all within a supportive environment. If interested, students who have participated in at least two semesters of EARS Communication Training, can consider becoming a Peer Counselor with EARS. They must demonstrate the required skills in a rigorous evaluation session. Counselors volunteer 3-5 hours weekly in the EARS Counseling Room.
