Amadou Fofana is a graduate of the Leadership in Student Affairs Master’s program at the University of St Thomas in St. Paul, MN. Fofana is a first generation undocumented Black college alumni and received his BS in Nursing and minor in Psychology from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. After reflecting on his undergraduate experience, he realized his calling was in higher education/student affairs and there was not enough representation of professionals with his identities. Amadou transitioned careers and found himself working at various higher education institutions ranging in functional areas from financial aid, housing and orientation and serving as a coordinator for student scholar programs.
Amadou is committed to critical conversations across difference, social justice in higher education, identity development, and intersectionality of identities.
